About Me

About Me

My name is Tom. I’m a woodworker, maker and CNC enthusiast who believes in building things the honest way – through skill, effort, failure, improvement and repetition.

I run a real 900 m² workshop where every day means solving problems, designing better systems, and making things that actually work. What you see on this website, on my social media or in my digital plans comes straight from real production – real projects, real tools, real woodworking.

My Journey: Successes & Failures

I didn’t start with perfect machines, perfect tools or perfect conditions. I started with curiosity, ambition and the belief that I could build a better life with my own hands.

Over the years I experienced both big wins and big failures.

Big wins

  • Building large projects and complete interiors
  • Running a professional workshop
  • Working with CNC technology
  • Creating functional furniture and tools for real clients
  • Growing an online woodworking community
  • Turning my craft into a brand – TallWoodMaker

Big failures

  • Projects that went wrong
  • Financial pressure and bad decisions
  • Material mistakes and broken tools
  • Learning the hard way
  • Hitting bottom and starting again

Every failure taught me something. Every success pushed me forward. Both shaped who I am today.

Why I Share My Work

Woodworking online often looks fake: perfect shots, perfect cuts, no mistakes. That’s not real.

I share the real side of woodworking:

  • real processes
  • real problems
  • real solutions
  • real mistakes
  • real progress

I want people to see woodworking the way it truly is – sometimes difficult, sometimes messy, but always satisfying.

My Workshop

Inside my 900 m² shop I use:

  • CNC routers
  • Panel saws
  • Edge banders
  • Dust extraction
  • 3D printers
  • Professional hand and power tools
  • Custom-built jigs and fixtures

This is where I test everything I sell or teach. TallWoodMaker isn’t a brand built on theory – it’s built on sawdust, labor, ruined prototypes, fixed mistakes and constant improvement.

Digital Plans & CNC Files

I create digital plans and CNC DXF files because I know how much time they can save. Every file is:

  • clean and CNC-ready
  • based on functional design
  • tested in real production
  • focused on practical joinery and workflow

If it doesn’t work in real life, it doesn’t get published.

My Philosophy – Build · Share · Inspire

BUILD

Create things worth building. Push your limits. Improve every day through real work.

SHARE

Show the process, the lessons, the mistakes and the wins. Help others grow in this craft.

INSPIRE

Motivate people to try, fail, learn and build the life they want through woodworking and making.
